I bought this bar for my Ford Flex with a factory rail set. Easy to install after the first setup. These bars are very strong. I don't leave these on when not in use. Car washes, salt and grime would not be very kind to them. I really haven't noticed any wind noise when the bars are not loaded, maybe because my car is very well acoustically insulated and has a great audio system. You can't go wrong with this product. Thule makes the good stuff!

Works well, but noisy when cargo box is not attached. Too noisy to leave on vehicle when not using.

This is typical solid Thule system. The pictures of this product differ from the actual product-- notice that the picture shows the towers inserting into a slot on the bottom of the cross bar. What you actually get is different-- it is actually identical to the Thule 450 system where the cross bar inserts through a square hollow shaft in the tower. so you are actually getting the equivalent of the 450 towers, cross bars and locks, at somewhat of a discount from those parts priced separately.
System seems nice for putting on and taking off relatively easily, as for the most part I do not want to keep cross bars on car very much (just extended vacations and weekends).
