This did exactly what we needed it to do. We purchased this bag for a long road and camping trip in which we had 5 people in a minivan and no room to store camping supplies. We do not have a rack on the minivan, so this bag fit our needs, strapping through the windows in the car securing it that way with two long straps. My passengers were worried at first for the safety of their camping supplies and personal belongings, but after the first few hundred miles of speedy highway driving, it was obvious we had nothing to worry about.
